 Brent Oplotnik
Master Teacher
Brent Oplotnik is a native of Oklahoma City where he grew up studying dance at his mother's studio Applause. At the age of nine, Brent had appeared on Star Search and El Sabado Gigante on Univision. By the time he was fourteen, he had been a featured actor in movies showcased on HBO and Fox. As a student he continued his education working with numerous Master Teachers associated with DMA, DEA, LADF, Broadway Dance Center, The Edge, and Oklahoma City University.
Brent's professional dance career began at age sixteen, performing with world renowned Las Vegas magician Melinda, First Lady of Magic. Later that year Brent was a featured dancer appearing with Randy Travis on Thanksgiving Day for the Dallas Cowboys Annual Salvation Army Half-Time Show. He has also appeared with other artists including Dino, Andy Williams, Jimmy Osmond and Neal McCoy.
By the age of eighteen he choreographed Zuit Suit Strut, a swing show that toured southern Florida. Other choreography credits include Red, Hot and Blue!, Flash Variety, and Swing Dance USA performed in the live music capital of the world Branson, Missouri. Brent has also created choreography for Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Louiseville, Kentucky.
He is an adjudicator and Master Teacher for many national organizations including Masquerade, Adrenaline, Dance America, Dance Masters of America, Elite Dance Cup, and the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant. He is also on staff with Dance Olympus and teaches master classes weekly in St. Louis. Brent's personality and experience have created a choreographer and master teacher who is anticipated, and in demand. |
